I’ve been trying to take a sabbatical from hearing about the Coronavirus.  Like the rest of you though, probably, it’s not easy!  The news comes in from so many directions, social media, friends, family, etc…you think you are having a regular peaceful day, and then bam, more news that you don’t really want to hear.

I also live in the epicenter of the crisis at this point for the US, Kirkland, Washington.  I have stopped tracking the cases and deaths but around here we had the first death and a large outbreak at a care facility.

Many of my clients are…freaking out.  I understand the fear around here, with everything being so close.  Schools are cancelled, people are working from home, the news is scary and none of us really know what’s going to happen in the future.

It is my job to feel my own feelings and take care of them, and also to do all that I can to continue to hold a strong vibration not only for myself and my family but for the people that I support through my work.

I’m doing my best, and I’m usually pretty good in a crisis.  I am usually able to see the beauty and magic in everything, even when it looks like a tragedy.  I am feeling this all right now, the fear, the anxiety, and the beauty all at the same time.

I am working even harder than I usually do at taking extra good care of myself, limiting negative information input, and surrounding myself with positive people.  Because I can feel the collective fear.  Just because I can hold my own frequency, doesn’t mean I’m not aware of the energy of the collective right now.  I’m just doing my best to continue feeling and being the light as much as I can.

Because this is a healing.  The coronavirus is seeking to bring light to the darkness.  It is creating awareness of our fear.  It is waking us up.

I see it as a heat seeking missle…seeking the darkness and making it even darker for awhile, so that the light can finally break through.

This virus and the fear around it is teaching us about fear and light.  It is teaching us how to manage fear on an individual and collective level.  It is calling us to connect to the light in ourselves and spread it to others as much as we can right now.

We are always influencing ourselves and others around us with our consciousness and vibration.  Fear, anger, and frustration are dense low vibration emotions.  Love, compassion, and understanding are light.

The more we can be working on our own light, the more we can be continuing to spread the love and light of consciousness stronger and faster than the fear and darkness.  We are all responsible for creating this within ourselves and allowing it to ripple out in order to help us all remain in the light.

This is just shining a light on and magnifying what was already here.  There was already a lot of fear and uncertainty and unconsciousness.  This is just allowing us to see it in starker contrast.

Some ways that I have been seeing this, and some practices that are helpful are:

Bring in the Light:

We are all beings of light, and the more we stay in that light by remaining conscious of our energy and releasing unconscious fears, the lighter and lighter we become and the more we can continue to help humanity evolve in its light as well.

As we bring in the light of conscious awareness when we are scared, it floods all of the cells in our bodies with beautiful, healing, protective white light.  It boosts our energy and immune systems.

It keeps us healthy.

An easy practice here is to sit quietly and take a few deep breaths.  Place your hands palms up.  Then imagine roots growing from your feet into the earth.  These roots then pull up beautiful light from the earth.  The palms of your hands also have energy centers in them, so imagine beautiful white light flowing into your hands.  Then imagine a cone on the very top of your head, allowing an abundance of light to flow in from creation, filling you up with light and healing positive energy.

Repeat this practice throughout the day to keep your immune system healthy and to feel good!

Connect with Yourself:

As we practice meditation and getting out of our unconscious automatic thoughts about all of this, it allows the light to come back in.  Flooding our bodies with lovely sparkly energy, energizing and replenishing us.

As we slow down, go inwards, and have time to reflect, we increase our consciousness.

This is such a beautiful opportunity for those that are forced to slow down, work from home, and have more time and space to be with themselves.  It gives us all a chance to take a collective pause that has been much needed.

This energy is felt by those around us and allows us to strengthen our collective immune system as well.

Get Outside:

Nature gets us back into our natural rhythm again.  When we go in nature we are away from the hum and stress of the world, and back in the flow of peace.

This is a beautiful opportunity, when we are all staying away from the malls and gatherings and other people, to reconnect with nature.

Research continues to prove that nature helps us reduce stress and anxiety and help us to regulate our emotions and physiology.  This is always important, but even more so right now.

Anytime in nature is healing, but for even more peaceful energy try being mindful in the moment in nature.  Imagine the trees, plants and water sending you loving energy, cleansing your stress, and infusing you with light.

As we practice this again more consistently, we will integrate this into our lives again for when the fear passes, because it will.

Gratitude:

As we practice gratitude, we shift our awareness away from fear.  Our brains are unable to focus on fear and appreciation at the same time.  As we remind ourselves of all we are grateful for in our lives, what we have to be grateful for expands.

A small list of gratitude for this time:

Spending less money by going out

More time and space to connect with family

More time to focus on goals

More time to rest

Time to work on personal growth

So many other benefits!

Set a timer to take a 2-minute gratitude break.  Focus on all you have to be grateful for for just 2 minutes and notice the difference in the way you feel afterwards!

Energetic Upgrade:

Practice viewing this as a learning opportunity rather than feeling like a victim of circumstance.  We can all use this as a way to evolve our ability to hold our own vibration regardless of what’s happening around us.

As we practice strengthening our ability to notice both our own fear and the fear outside of us, and respond differently, we allow our light to get brighter and brighter.

Our individual and collective ability to transform fear into faith is going to be so much easier when this passes because of all the practice we are getting! This is like boot camp for the soul.

We will all feel a collective upgrade in peace, and our ability to move through fearful circumstances will be heightened.

Lasting Appreciation:

As we move through this crisis, and already, it is increasing our consciousness of appreciation for our health, for easy access to food, and toilet paper, to moving about a society with freedom, for a safe public-school system for our children, etc.

This appreciation will be deeper and more consistent than before this crisis happened.

I look forward to continuing to learn and share through this process, I hope you are feeling good and staying healthy and safe!
