We are one.  One with trees, one with stars, and one with each other.  We are all made of the same stuff and are interconnected in a beautifully harmonious way.

Our soul knows this, and the feeling is undeniable and unforgettable.  We were born with this understanding, and over time if we are not consciously practicing remembering it, it can feel like separation is real instead of connection.

We were designed to feel connected.  Humans have never been meant to live in isolation, separation or conflict.  We are
meant to collaborate, and to harmonize in order to help ourselves and the collective survive and thrive.

Especially right now, as our country feels so divided, it’s more important than ever, whatever side you’re on, and whatever you believe, to practice remembering that we are more alike than we are different.  That there is something bigger at work and working at connection and collaboration feels so much better to all involved and helps us all evolve and expand.

It’s always so nice when science backs up things that feel sometimes “woo woo” or too subtle to understand.  I’m sure most of you have felt the experience of oneness.  Whether it was staring at the wonder of the Grand Canyon, or the Pacific Ocean, or a beautiful church service, or the innocent beauty of a newborn child.

It’s that feeling of connection, of magic, of bliss that is the key to all of our continued growth and evolution.  The more we can tap into this feeling, the higher our vibration becomes, allowing our energy to expand, and to help others expand as well.

The science that I’m talking about, is research on a part of the brain that shifts during a “spiritual” or “higher consciousness” experience.  Research on experienced meditators and distance healing practitioners shows shifts in many areas of the brain during these kinds of experiences, but the most significant was in the parietal cortex, specifically the left inferior parietal lobule.

This part of the brain is activated when a person becomes aware of himself or others.  When in meditation or focusing on sending healing energy or prayer to another person, or other forms of feeling connected to all that is, there is a reduction in activity in this section of the brain.

We all know how much better it feels to be in the energy of love instead of fear, and expansion instead of contraction.  It’s also validating to know the scientific explanations behind this.  It’s really happening, y’all, you really can change your brain with what you focus on, so cool!

The more of us that can be focusing on this, on purpose, the more our world can evolve and ascend into the light.  It feels really good to be in this energy, it helps your life improve, and gives you the energy to expand your light even more brightly into the world.

We can train our brains to be in this place more often, some practical ways to practice feeling this oneness are:

Sending Loving Energy:

Research has shown that individually, or in a group, setting an intention to send love, healing energy, prayer, whatever you want to call it, to another person or group of people diminishes the activity in the parietal cortex.

If you have ever tried this you know how good it feels to hold loving energy for others.  It helps improve your energy and that of those you are helping as well.

It can be fun to form a group and do virtual healing sessions for others, or you can practice just setting an intention to send this loving energy to others on your own.

It’s easy to practice.  Just relax your body in meditation, imagine who you are intending to send energy to, and focus on sending positive energy to them.  There is no right or wrong way, have fun with your practice!

Experience the Magic of Nature:

The more we can help our energy systems remember the connection we have with the natural world, the better we feel.

We are designed to be close to nature and feel its rhythms often, in order to align our own energetic vibration to the earth’s
energy.

Take some time, as often as you can, to set your intention to feel a communion with nature.  Put your hand on a tree while on a walk and feel its peaceful energy.  Sit by the water and feel how its gentle flow is connected to your own physical being that is also 70% water.

Practice experimenting with this connection with nature to help your brain and body remember this connection, and to help your energy system remind those around you of the truth as well.

Meditation:

We need to be able to still our minds in order to feel this connection.

This is the foundation, to connect to the stillness and truth that we are all one, we have to practice diminishing the other
noise inside your beautiful brain.

Practice meditation to still your mind, and then expand into imagining your aura expanding, and your identity releasing.

You are one with the universe.  There is no separation.  Practice remembering this as much as you can.

This connected feeling is needed on earth now more than ever.  We can all be part of the awakening of consciousness and helping to expand the light!
