How do we hold onto hope during this time? It can feel so scary and uncertain right now. In my work, clients are wondering when they will be able to go back to work, how long will the social distancing last, will they or their families get sick, when will this all be over?
I understand that feeling for sure. This is weird and uncomfortable for all of us! I can totally be a creature of habit and routine and comfort. It’s nice to know how things go, and have a sense that things make sense.
I also know, for myself and in my work, that it’s often in the discomfort that we grow. It can be in the uncertainty that we are finally able to surrender. It can be when our ego finally realizes it’s not in control that we begin to see it as separate from us, rather than who we are.
Crisis often precedes awakening. It can be a beautiful catalyst for evolution and change. While in the middle of it it feels like a whirlpool. Like everything is spinning and nothing makes sense.
Before my awakening, this is how my life felt. Completely out of control. Nothing made sense. Life felt unfair and unmanageable. It felt like there was no way out and nothing would ever get better.
I have heard many other’s stories that are similar to this as well. It gets darkest right before the dawn. It takes the dark night of the soul often, for us to crack open and let the light pour in.
It has felt for me for some time that there is a great awakening occurring. That more and more people are beginning to awaken to who they truly are. That as we wake up individually, we are assisting all of humanity to increase in consciousness and light. That by doing this, we increase compassion and connection, decrease fear and separation and heal the world.
We can begin to wake up to remember we create our own reality. That we are responsible for ourselves. That it is up to us to hold our own frequency no matter what the vibration of the world is doing. That by holding the light for ourselves, we help the world stay in the light and create a new world of conscious awareness.
We remember that we are powerful manifestors, not victims of circumstance. That we all come from source, and are all connected. That all there is is love and light, and that fear is an illusion.
In my experience crisis and grief are an opening for transformation. Individually this can take a long time. People lose a loved one, or move through a health crisis, or are under financial stress.
One by one it happens…but what if this experience that we’re going through collectively now is also an opportunity for a collective awakening? What if this crisis on a global level is actually a catalyst for awakening for billions of people? What if by moving through this with a willingness to see it as an opportunity for growth, we awaken the planet?
My specialty and favorite thing in the whole world is that spark of awakening. The reason I do what I do for a living is that I felt called after my own awakening to be a bridge of awakening for the mainstream. So, while this is an anxious time for all of us, some part of my being is also really excited about this opportunity.
I’m excited that things are breaking down. Because I know that crisis creates an opening for awakening. I’ve seen it so many times individually, and wow if even a small percentage of the people that are going through this on the planet are able to feel the call of awakening and evolution through this process, it just speeds up our collective energetic growth exponentially!
Instead of us having to go through our own individual crisis’s, this is like a massive PHD program in personal growth. None of us asked for this, except we did, on a soul level. Our souls know that sometimes it takes a breakdown to facilitate a breakthrough. That we were all ready for an energetic upgrade, even though our egos were scared of this.
I understand how hard this can be. I am filled with compassion for everyone that is struggling through this, whether it is financial, physical, emotional or spiritual. I’ve been there, at rock bottom, in all of those areas as well.
And I know, from my own and others experience, that it does get better. That on the other side, if you allow it, is more magic and beauty and consciousness then you thought possible!
As individuals awaken through this process, and this ripples out, so will institutions break down and awaken as well. Our healthcare system, our financial institutions, our respect and fair treatment for all workers, etc. Things have to get bad sometimes before the light can come in for transformation.
Some ways to allow this to transform you and to help the collective transform as well are:
- Practice openness to seeing this as a transformative experience
- Practice surrender, and asking the universe to support your growth
- Do your best to hold a positive vibration, rest, meditate, get in nature, and connect how you are able to with positive people in your life
- Hold the light, continue visualizing and sending light to a positive outcome for all of us
- Just like FDR held onto a positive vision and a prosperous future for all of us during the great depression and WWII, it is up to all of us to continue to see a positive and prosperous future for all of us after this.
We will get through this. It will pass. And we will be so much better on the other side!
