Do you ever feel that you don’t have control over how you feel every day?  That some days are just “good” and others are “bad”.  That when hard things happen there is no choice but to feel terrible?  That some people are just happier and better and letting things go and it’s just your personality to be negative and feel depressed?

But what if there is another way to look at life?  What if all of life is a practice to help you learn how to stay in alignment?  What if challenges and irritations are not there to just frustrate you but to actually help you grow and expand?  What if your ability to maintain a positive vibration is what really matters most of all?  What if our ability to keep our vibration elevated is what is creating our circumstances and future, and the better we feel the better our life will continue to be?

Relaxing into this awareness can be very freeing.  There are really no problems to be solved, only circumstances that come up to be aware of and mindfully respond to.

I’m not saying that it’s not sometimes a good idea to consider changing our circumstances if they are negative or not serving us.  What I am saying is that when we are in situations that we can’t change in the moment, we can use them to evolve rather than resist, to grow rather than shut down.

In order to get better at shifting your frequency in more challenging circumstances, it’s really helpful to be working on keeping your vibration in a positive place most of the time.  This will allow your energy to be expansive in general which makes it easier to bounce back when more difficult things happen.

Vibration is everything.  In the words of Nikola Tesla, “If you want to know the secrets of the universe, think it terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”  If we are not conscious, our vibration can be influenced a lot by external circumstances.

Have you ever noticed your feelings change when you enter certain environments or situations?  Or that you feel tired and drained around or after you leave a conversation with someone?  Or that you feel peaceful and relaxed on a lovely day at the beach?  We are all impacted to some extent by the world around us.  The problem is when we are unaware, especially of the negative energy around us and how it affects us.  If we aren’t aware of the connection between things around us and our own vibration we can tend to blame ourselves for feelings instead, or feel confused about why we feel the way we do.

Beginning to create more awareness of you own vibration, independent of other people or situations is vital in order to create a baseline for yourself.  The more in touch you are with your own internal world and frequency the easier it will be to notice when it starts to be impacted by external things.

What this means is to slow down, and ask yourself multiple times a day “what am I feeling?” and “what sensations am I aware of in my body right now?” and “what thoughts are contributing to what I am feeling right now?”  As your consciousness increases, you become lighter and lighter and more and more able to make choice about what you want to think and feel rather than reacting unconsciously maybe in ways you don’t like.

In addition to becoming more aware of what you are feeling and thinking, proactively finding ways to practice feeling good is very important in practicing vibrational alignment.  This is unique for everyone.  Some people like pickles, and some people like flowers for example in helping keep their vibration elevated.  Making a list of things that bring you joy and bringing them into your life often is a great way to bring your frequency up.

Practicing bringing in positive thoughts all day long is also very important in staying in alignment. What makes you happy to think about?  For some people it might be their sweet sweet golden retriever, or for others it may be thinking of a time they felt peaceful and relaxed on vacation at the ocean.  Positive affirmations are a nice way to give your brain something positive to do instead of vibrating in worry or fear energy.  One of my absolute favorites is “Everything’s always working out for me,” from Abraham Hicks.  Also “Only good will come from this,” from Marilyn Jennett feels really nice, especially when something feels challenging.

Our thoughts create our feelings, so it’s very important to shift negative thoughts and bring in positive ones all day long.  It takes some time to shift patterns of thinking that you’ve had for a long time, so be patient with yourself and consistent about your practice.  Remember it’s like lifting weights, it takes time in the gym to build a bicep, and it takes time to practice new positive thoughts to build a new neural pathway in your brain.

There are so many reasons to focus on elevating your vibration.  High frequency in the body keeps people healthy, and health problems move through faster if they do manifest.  Your energy attracts your life circumstances.  The happier and more full of light and positive energy you are, the more positive circumstances you will continue to manifest in your life.

For all of you lovely empaths who care so much about the world, it also helps others live their best lives as well.  Living in high frequency consciously and unconsciously gives others around you to live in that way as well.  It helps us all move forward and expand as we are meant to do.

Creating a positive energy field can be a fun thing to practice, some simple and quick ways to elevate your vibration are:

  1. Practicing affirmations like the ones above, or “abundance is my divine right, I am healthy wealthy and loved.” Finding positive mantras to repeat periodically or finding time to focus on for 10-15 minutes at a time is a great way to stay feeling good.
  2. Spending time visualizing things that bring your energy up. If you love your cat, spend time visualizing her precious little face when you’re not together.  If your house on the lake is your favorite thing, taking time often to create peaceful scenario in your mind about you being there will help elevate your vibration.
  3. Visualizing opening up the crown chakra on the top of your head and imagining beautiful sparkly white light pouring into it and flowing through your whole body. Feeling the positive energetic shifts from the light growing stronger and lifting your vibration up.
  4. Hang out with cool people! Meaning powerful, positive and inspirational people.  People that make you feel good and energized after being with them.
  5. Get out in nature. Nature is way more intelligent than we are at maintaining a harmonious vibration, and surrounding yourself with this energy will help integrate this more into your body as well.
  6. Remember appreciation. Shifting into the energy of appreciation is an instant way to feel good and shift your frequency.  There are always things to be grateful for.  Your health, your job, food, resources, family, etc…
  7. Get active! Getting your body moving and blood pumping is another quick way to elevate your vibration.  There are so many reasons why this is effective, but all you really need to know is it works!
  8. Drink water. It sound simple but again it just works.  We are made of 70% water, and the more hydrated we are the better we feel and the easier it is for us to connect to the divinity inherent within us.

The biggest key to vibration elevation is knowing and believing that you have the power to do it.  You are powerful beyond measure and realizing this and practicing shifting your frequency can be one of the most meaningful things you do in your life.

It will help you bring more of your uniqueness into the world and continue to help the rest of humanity evolve as well.  You were born to do this!
